Romance is an important aspect of any relationship. Any guy who is romantic could make any lady fall ‘head over heels’ in love with him. But the idea of romance can commonly be misinterpreted by the womenfolk. So, what is a guy’s idea of romance?
Romance is the expression of a pleasant feeling of emotional attraction towards another person. Romance usually implies an expression of one’s strong romantic love or one’s deep and strong emotional desires to connect with another person intimately or romantically.
But the problem with a guy being ‘romantic’ is that he can use that as a wall to hide his other intentions. For example, a man who treats a lady right, buys her gifts, calls her hourly everyday might actually just want to get into her pants, just be playing the role of ‘Mr. Nice’ or might not have any feelings for her at all. Whereas, to the lady this guy is ‘The best man on earth’!
One of the ways a relationship can and might work out is; at the very beginning, when a man shows interest in a woman by buying her flowers, taking her on romantic dates to the cinema and expensive restaurants and so on; It would be wisdom on the path of the woman to ask him what his intentions are. Are you looking for a girlfriend, a lover, a wife, a best friend, a business partner, etc. by so doing in the end nobody gets hurt waiting for the so called friendship to graduate to the next level.
On the other hand in a relationship, another way to not be a victim is to look out for other things to like a man for asides the money he spends on you or the way he kisses you. How about the way he eats in public, the way he cuts his hair, the neatness of his finger nails, the way he holds your hand when you get scared, the way he hugs you when all you wanna do is cry etc.
In essence, the word romantic isn’t always in the physical touch or material things that a man can do for his woman in a relationship rather, it is those intentions that lie beyond the action that are mostly overlooked.
