Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have broken up again, and this time, it’s for good. We have all the details on what happened to Hollywood’s most adorable couple.
Emma Stone, 26, and Andrew Garfield, 32, have called it quits once again. The two Amazing Spider-man co-stars finally threw in the towel after a tumultuous year of on-again, off-again dating. Find out why they’ve decided to say goodbye to one another once more.
Well, isn’t this just heartbreaking? After three years together, the ever-adorable Emma and dashing Andrew just couldn’t make it work anymore. We can’t pretend we didn’t see this coming – although we hoped it wouldn’t – but after a breakup earlier this year, and a shaky reunion, it’s not exactly a surprise. As a matter of fact, E! News reports that they’ve actually been broken up for a couple of months.
Sources warned us that this might happen after they reconciled from their April 2015 break up. A friend of the couple told HollywoodLife.com that it was odd that Emma and Andrew were suddenly being so openly affectionate, and even hinted that it might be to draw attention to Emma’s new film that had just come out. But then there was that report in June that they had actually gotten engaged, so we held out just a little ray of hope.
In the end, it was the distance that reportedly caused the couple’s swan song. Both of the young stars are in high-demand, and their busy filming schedules had them flying all over the world to work. A long-distance relationship is tough on anybody, but even tougher when there’s no chance to settle down in sight.
If it had to end, we’re just happy that it was on good terms, as a source told E! News: “There is definitely still love for each other there. They remain close and are on good terms.” Those two are an absolute class-act, and we wish them nothing but the best.
